We provide support and funding to two orphanages in Nepal

Story

Paul Harris, Ron Sutcliffe and Alan Bishop are three friends, now retired, who have grown up together and share an interest in Scouting and the outdoor life. Paul is a trustee of the Charity UNCLE (Uplifting Nepal’s Children with Love and Education). Having walked the Isle of Man coastal path last year, we are seeking to repeat our fund raising efforts by walking round the Isle of Wight, a total of 65 miles. The money we raise will go towards the rebuilding of an orphanage in Nepal, irreparably damaged in the earthquakes of 2015, and to support the orphans who live there. The walk will take place between 5th and 9th September this year.

UNCLE supports two orphanages in Kathmandu, providing funds for the upkeep, education and medical costs of the orphans and their carers thereby uplifting the children of Nepal with love and education since 2006. On the 25th April 2015 a massive earthquake hit Nepal. Now we are faced with a rebuilding cost of over £50,000 to replace the stricken orphanage. We have raised 70% of the total but require a big fund raising push to complete the work. Every penny you donate to UNCLE will go to give the Nepali children practical support and a place to live. Please help. Thank you.

UNCLE supports the Glorious Ministry and Himalayan Hope orphanages in Nepal. In Feb 2016 we launched an appeal to rebuild the Glorious Mission Orphanage damaged by the recent earthquake. We have raised 70% of the £50,000 total. Please help us with the final push to complete the project.
