UPDATE:
Ben Nevis - done ✔ It was gruelling a tough (especially on the knees!) but a positive experience overall. Shout out to Anthony Waidhofer for being an excellent pacemaker when my knees went - you're a true friend. Another huge thank you to my family, whose support and fundraising efforts have reasserted the fact that we are strong and we stick together whatever life throws at us.
And once again, on behalf of my entire family I would like to say a huge thank you to all of you that have donated - the level of support at this time means more than words can express.
Mum - this climb was for you, I will love you and miss you always and hope I have made you proud.
Much Love x
Hello! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
At the beginning of October I'm going to be climbing Ben Nevis (the highest point in the UK) come rain or shine with my dear friend Anthony, and the more we've researched the climb its become clear that trying to reach the summit is a long and strenuous trek...especially with the Scottish weather to back us up!I've also heard rumours of -18 degrees Celsius at the top...eek.
I'm raising money for Pancreatic Cancer Action - a charity that is helping to fight a disease close to mine and my family's heart. Sadly at the beginning of August my beautiful and talented mum Kim passed away whilst suffering from this aggressive disease. While I started this fundraising campaign to raise money for charity, this climb is also very much in her memory now and to make sure as few families go through the same heartbreak that we have felt as possible.
I would appreciate any sponsorship to help me reach my target for a truly worthwhile cause.
Much love,
Jamie x
