Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am doing a Sky Dive with work collegues on Sunday 16th September, for those of you who know me you will know what a big deal it is to me as I have a bit of a fear about heights so what better way to get over it!!!!!!!! I couldnt decide myself which worthwhile Charity to fundraise for so I asked my Dad to pick one that has personally helped him.
In 2010, my Dad fell really ill and was subsequently diagnosed with having Leukaemia. He received treatment at University College Hospital in London where he recieved Chemotherapy and a Stem Cell Transplant to help him overcome his illness. Whilst going through the rounds of gruelling Chemo, Graham King used to visit my Dad on the ward and provide Complimentary Therapy/ Healing to him to which not only gave comfort to my Dad but helped him through it all. My Dad is now in remission.
The aim of 'The Sam Buxton Sunflower Healing Trust' is to make funds available to NHS Trusts and Cancer Centres so they may continue on providing Therapists to work alongside Conventional Medicine. You can visit their site by accessing the following link: http://www.cancertherapies.org.uk/index.php
Thank You for taking the time to read and for sponsoring me so I can raise as much money as possible for this cause which means so much to my family.
Vicky :) x
