Story
So last year as many of you know I pushed myself way out of my comfort zone and ran a 10k for Camp Simcha. This
year I have decided to push myself a bit further outside of my comfort zone and
decided to do a 30 mile trek over 4 days down the Grand Canyon, slumming it in
tents overnight and having no shower or proper toilets (okay the last bit isn’t
the worst thing for me)
For those of you who know me, Camp
Simcha is a charity that is very close to my heart. The box at this side of the page gives a
small insight of what they do but that barely scratches the surface. I
personally see where your money goes and see the subsequent smiles that YOU
HAVE PUT on these children’s and their families faces. I have seen and heard
the relief from parents first hand when Camp Simcha steps in to help in their
time of need.
A lot of Camp Simchas fundraising comes
from the London Marathon which this year unfortunately falls on the first day
of Pesach making this years funds even harder to reach
So what I am asking from you.
Any donation that you seem fitting to
help give these Children and their families another year full of fun and making
it slightly more stress free. You can be the one who gives them a little bit of
light in these very dark times.
Just like last year I know donating can
be a bit boring and in a way you would like to see something for your efforts
so I'm going to liven this up for every donation over -
Thirty Six Pounds you will receive a
handwritten thank you letter.
Fifty Pounds gets a hug and a handwritten
letter.
Seventy Two pounds if you live in
Manchester you get a letter a hug and I’ll even buy you a drink.
One Hundred and Eighty pounds If you
live in Manchester I'll cook you a meal (and wash up maybe)
Three Hundred and Sixty Pounds and
i'll send you a postcard from the trek and will make you a meal at some stage.
Five Hundred Pounds will get you all the
above privileges and my boxers from one of the days of the hike from the run
(an extra charge of Fifty pounds if you want them washed :p)
Thanks so much for visiting my page and
let’s hope that in the near future there won’t be a need for a service like
Camp Simcha x
