Story
W.A.Ellis is Paddleboarding a half marathon further downstream on the Thames than any team before to raise funds for the Octavia Appeal (www.octaviaappeal.org.uk), Friends of the Royal Brompton - one of the world's leading heart and lung centres right on our doorstep.
Our adventure will fund much needed sensory art work and décor in the new paediatric High Dependency Unit for the children in the hospital.

The Octavia Appeal works to take on projects at the request of the hospital and unlike many charity appeals can guarantee that all money raised goes directly towards the chosen projects without any administration charges being deducted.
Projects currently include support for SPRinT, the award winning emergency paediatric resuscitation training programme, decoration of cubicles on the intensive care unit, supply of specially adapted clothing for children undergoing surgery (which take into account the need for drains, cannulars and other medical lines) and the court yard garden. They are passionate about all of their projects big and small and dedicate their efforts to benefit the patients and their families.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
