I have a distinct passion for running and in October my dreams were squashed as I didn't get in the ballot for the London marathon at the third attempt. Thanks to Ben Short, our coach at Horley Harriers running club I was later offered a chance to run for the ESSA charity which will help me help others realise their dreams too.

The ESSA is a dedicated charity that transforms the lives of children by promoting and teaching swimming in schools as an active part of their education, ensuring whatever background you may come from, everyone has the access to exercise and the health awareness and fun that swimming can bring. There are too many children who can't swim which is not only bad for them but holds potential dangers.  This charity is managed entirely by volunteers so every penny really will go to a good cause.
