Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.

Most of you will be familiar with how this works so I will not bore you with the details, but, in true Bob Geldof fashion, encourage you to get your credit cards out and most of you will be old enough to remember what I'm talking about.

The reason for this plea is that many of us have only recently discovered what "Pulmonary Fibrosis" is and we are shocked by the debilitating effect of the disease. We would know nothing had it not been for the fact that our goalkeeping, St Mirren supporting, part-time philosophising, bar stool preacher buddy, Weiry is living with the disease. Consequently, we have seen a lot less of him recently but we are hopeful that this situation can be remedied if Weiry can get himself a new buff! Nothing is guaranteed and we may only raise awareness of this disease but, in the process of doing so, we can raise a few quid for the associated charity and encourage Weiry to get down to Ulidia to watch his old mates make eejits of themselves!

A football match seems the most appropriate way of getting everyone together, so many will be digging out the long retired boots and borrowing their son's shin pads for an outing on Sunday 24th April at Ulidia, Ormeau Road, 1.30pm Kick Off. Afterwards in the Pavillion Public (Big) House next door. The opposition on the day will be Inst Legends so an historic inaugural meeting of the two teams will take place. If you can't be there, please leave a message and don't forget to dig deep.

Thanks again to all who have taken the time to read this far and we hope to see you all on 24th April.
