Story
Ahoy Mateys!
As the tale goes, myself, Chris and Anthony found ourselves with itchy feet one afternoon in the office sometime last year and decided it would be a good idea to travel to Tanzania in July and take part in the Ngalawa Cup.
What is the Ngalawa Cup? Well, it's a 500km sailing race up the coast of Tanzania in what are essentially wooden fishing boats (unequivocally not boats fit for racing) used by the locals.
On a voyage like this, it's critical to have the right skills in the team to ensure we make it across the finish line (without losing more limbs than our mothers would notice);
Anthony Gullan - Admiral (has deep sailing experience and once punched the mythical Davey Jones in the head)
Chris Shimmin - Shark whisperer (because sharks)
Murtaza Ibrahim - Pirate spotter (we've all watched Captain Phillips)
But lets not forget, we're hoping to raise money for a couple of great charities doing great things - Wish Upon a Dream and Cool Earth (please check them out). With your help, we'd like to raise at least £1,000 to help them keep up their admirable and life changing work.
Please check out the video we've included to fully appreciate how out of our depth we are.
Your friends,
The Wet Dreamers.
ps. please, please, please donate!
