Story
On May 8th Rosie, Eve and Beth will wheel/run the Wings for Life race. This is almost exactly three years since Rosie suffered a spinal cord injury that has transformed her life.
Rosie suffered a spinal stroke in 2013 leaving her paralysed from the waist down and living in considerable pain. Her strength and determination over the past few years has been inspiring and she has gained incredible physical strength enabling her to live an independent and busy life. In true Rosie style she doesn't let anything stop her and she has even managed to maintain her love of rowing in an adaptive scull!
It has of course been a life-changing journey and she couldn't have done it without the support of so many truly wonderful people.
During her rehabilitation journey we have met many others who have suffered spinal cord injuries and it has been eye opening to see the devastating impact it can have on peoples' lives.
Wings for Life race is held in 34 different countries across the world. Everyone will run at the same time and for the same goal - to raise money for spinal cord injury research. 100% of all donations will fund life changing spinal cord research projects. Please help us achieve our fundraising goal by donating on this page. No matter the size of the contribution it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
