Story

Whoopsa100 - all about the local COMMUNITY.

The Run Squad is an inspirational local running club created three years ago by the amazing Jo and Nick Rivett- the owners of 'Nick Rivett Sport’ shop located in the heart of Hove, East Sussex. The never-ending waiting list for new joiners speaks for itself because the club is about so much more than achieving new running records.

Each year the club supports one of the local charities and through running (and not so rarely drinking) organises fundraising events as well as helping to raise charity’s profile .
In 2015, an astonishing £10.000 was raised for Whoopsadaisy- a local charity extremely close to our hearts because of their tremendous work for children with motor disorders and their families.
In 2016, for the second year running, this charity is the focus of the club with a fundraising goal of£25.000!

Whoopsa100 -one of the 2016 events.

10 crazy runners will tackle 100 miles of South Downs Way from Winchester to Eastbourne over three days- 15th, 16th and 17th July 2016. They will run, then camp overnight, then run again, then camp again, then run again and then… party if there is anything left in the tank. And before then, the runners will train hard for months- The South Downs Way is not to be underestimated!
This run is not part of an existing event, because just turning up and running would be simply too easy…
All 200 members of the Run Squad are getting involved becoming one running family for 3 days.
Whoopsa100 will have support vehicles, checkpoints, refreshments, cheering squads, fundraising party, the grand finish and much more- ALL organised by members of the club.
In addition Whoopsa100 will produce and sell their own event T-shirt with all profits going to the Charity.

We feel very lucky to be able to run…
Help us make EVERY STEP COUNT and get involved!

Thank you,
Team Whoopsa100
