Anyone blessed to meet William Gardiner in life's journey were never left in doubt they had encountered someone quite special. As kind as he was tall, as gentle as he was strong, Willie possessed an endless reserve of generosity and humour.

Sadly, those stars that burn brightest don't always burn longest, and Willie was taken suddenly from all who loved him 13 September, 2012. He will be missed most by his wife Kathryn and children Stuart, Kate and Fiona.

In death Willie continued to give of himself, with four lives and families in the UK given hope thanks to his wish to be an organ donor.

Keeping with Willie's spirit we decided to set up this page as an alternative to flowers. This will enable friends to donate to a charity that was close to the family's heart.
