Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
William, 5, our son, was diagnosed in January 2012 with Dravet's Syndrome, following sixteen months of seizures, happening on average every seven to ten days and lasting sometimes over an hour. Thankfully, although Will's seizures are nowhere near as frequent as they were initially, they are still just as unpredictable, with 3 PICU stays within 15 months. However, our constant worry is that he is at greater risk of SUDEP, sudden unexplained death in epilepsy.
Dravet's is a rare and difficult to control epilepsy with implications for physical and mental development.
We have chosen to raise funds for Dravet Syndrome UK, which aims to fund research into this dreadful condition and help children like Will have a brighter future.
Please donate, as much or as little as you can. Every little helps x
