We are just 10 normal people from different places and different backgrounds, doing different jobs! From head Chef to teaching assistant to Early years Practitioners and many more! We are all so keen to help, we have agreed to jump out of a plane from 10,000ft at a speed of over 120mph...why? let us tell you

We are all doing this for different people but all the same cause..CANCER! We all want to kick cancers Butt and even if we haven't been affected by cancer directly, we all know about it and the effects it can have on not only the patient but also extended family and friends.

The Joshua tree is a registered charity who supports local families who have been affected by Childhood cancer. The charity currently supports around 40 families. One of them being a girl called Ruby.

Ruby is 9 years old and was diagnosed with Leukaemia in August 2015 following a family holiday to France. Ruby woke up with a pain in her leg and it continued to get worse until it was excruciating pain and she couldn't take any more. Ruby's mum, Hayley, took Ruby to the hospital for blood tests which were later confirmed at Alder Hey.

 Ruby had cancer.

If that wasn't bad enough, Ruby also discovered she has a rare type of Leukaemia called Philadelphia which requires intense Chemo treatment .for 2 years. This poor 9 year old girl had gone from an amazing  family holiday to finding out she was very poorly.

But Ruby will never let this get her down and is so positive! She could teach us all a thing or two!

Thanks to Joshua tree, Ruby and her family have the chance to meet up with other families in the same situation and all talk about their good days and bad and help eachother through this horrific time. Families can also benefit from days out, receive one to one support and the Joshua Tree are now building a new drop in centre for a safe environment for families to meet.

The Joshua tree are celebrating their 10 year anniversary this year and can only continue to do so with the donations.

So, we are asking PLEASE, help us to help others and be as generous as you can. We cant do this without YOU and your generosity.

Cancer effects us all in some way... one day it could be you...
