I went to a National Zakat fund event last week and was shocked by cases of young females being assaulted and cast out after expressing their new-found faith and hearing of individuals sleeping on the streets for weeks in the winter. 

I was impressed with the professionalism and responsiveness of NZF taking care to assess every case carefully, assigning a caseworker immediately and working with those in need to work their way out of their situation. The inspirational story of a lady who was receiving support from NZF 2 years ago and who is now one of the major donors made me think that I needed to do more. 

So I committed to support 10 families with support for which I need your help and prayers.
