Story

‎2012’s Challenge to raise money for Skin Cancer Research Fund in memory of Glenn ‘Ben’ Neat is The Wrekin 36/36!

I, Andy Neat, and friends Andy Mills, Rob Lockley and Mark Harries will attempt to ascend and descend The Wrekin 36 times continuously through the day and night with only small rest breaks! 36 ascents is the equivalent of climbing Mt Everest (approx. 29,000ft) .
This will take place on 11th May 2012 (start time 8:00am) and finish hopfully on 12th May 2012, the 5th anniversary to the day of my Dad (Glenn 'Ben' Neat) passing away to Skin Cancer. This will of course mean we will be walking up and down The Wrekin all through the day and night.

Training has being extremely vigorous and we are currently in the final stages of all the vital preparations and safety aspects. We are obtaining advice from top Nutritionists and Dietitians in order to keep us going!

We've been lucky enough to have lhad ocal media covering the event in its build up to help spread the word and hopefully get many members of the public to come along and show their support.
