Story

As many of you will know, we do like to push ourselves and fundraise for YPWD (Berkshire), a charity that thinks differently about dementia, a charity close to our hearts.  This year we are embarking on a cycle ride, a mere 299 miles over 4 days from London to Paris.  Needless to say we are not experienced cyclists and are currently coming to terms with the saddle, balance, learning to hold handle bars with one hand and putting in the miles.  But we keep in mind our end goal, helping those with young onset dementia.  If by going through this challenge we can make a difference, everything will be worthwhile.

So, who is on this team?  Well actually there are nine of us, but this page has been set up specifically in support of:

Vicki Matthews
Fran Booth
Jacqui Hussey
Caroline Blanchette

Do please support us in our cause by making a donation (not forgetting to enable gift aid which ensures another 25p for every £1 donated).  Every penny counts.  Thank you so much for your support.

About the charity

We support younger people (that is, people of working age) in Berkshire who develop a dementia. We also support their families. We provide respite services within the working week, both within a workshop setting and on a one-to-one basis.
