About Staffordshire Women's Aid
Staffordshire Women's Aid is a charitable and voluntary organisation that has been providing services for women and children living with, fleeing or recovering from the impact of domestic and sexual violence since 1976. We aim to support and empower women and children towards safer, more independent lives, free from violence and abuse. To achieve our charitable objectives, we provide the following services, delivered by a team of trained, specialist staff and volunteers across Staffordshire:
Our Services include:
• 24 Hour Helpline
• Safe Refuge Accommodation
• Domestic Violence Community Outreach Service
• Children and Young People’s Support Service
• SURVIVE Sexual Violence Service
While our work is situated within the violence against women and girls agenda, we also offer services to male victims of abuse which are appropriately provided in safe, separate venues.
Nearly 40 years on, we remain a grass roots, user-led organisation, placing at the heart of our work the views of the women and children we work with.
We are extremely proud to have been awarded the Women’s Aid Federation of England National Quality Standard.
